Sept.25, 2011 - B&E and Copper Theft
On the morning of September 25th, 2011 the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP received a complaint of a break enter and theft which occurred to a private property on the 3000 block of Cowichan Valley Highway.

May 16th, 2011 - Mischief and Damage
On May 16th, 2011 the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP were called to investigate a significant mischief and damage to property on a construction site off Belvedere Road near Duncan.

June 1, 2011 - Vandalism
 On June 1st ,2011 the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP were called to investigate a vandalism complaint at Metro Toyota just north of Duncan on the Trans Canada Highway. At approximately 2:50 am two Caucasian males were seen smashing car windows and denting vehicles at the car dealership.

Break and Enter - Bluecoast Safety
 
On April 3rd The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP received a report of a break and enter to Bluecoast Safety on the 3000 block of Allenby Road.  The Break In had occurred sometime during the night.  Once inside the culprits stole several items including the following.

STOLEN: steel toe work boots, high visibility jackets and coveralls, flashlights, hearing protection, respirators, flame retardant jackets and coveralls, harnesses other rescue equipment and first aid supplies.  The estimated value of the stolen items is in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Fraudster Print
The male who appears in the attached photos has been entering several different businesses in the Cowichan Valley with a plastic grocery bag.  He takes items off the shelves and places them in the plastic bag. 
 
The male approaches the cashier and gives a story such as that he has been given permission from the manager or owner of the business to return the items without a receipt.  The male gives the employee the names of managers and owners and speaks as if he knows them.   On several occasions the male has left a name of Steven SAMPSON with employees of store as well as a false phone number.

Peter Baljet Motors Vandalism
Sometime during New Year's Eve night several vehicles at Peter Baljet Motors were damaged.  Unknown Culprit(s) threw rocks at the vehicles, causing dents and broken windows.  The damage was discovered by staff of Peter Baljet Motors on New Year's Day.  This same sort of incident has occurred on other occasions.  Value of damage unknown.

Attempted Sexual Assault
Police and Crimestoppers are asking for your help in solving the following crime. 
 
During the evening hours of Saturday December 4th, 2010, a female was hitch hiking from  Lake Cowichan on Highway 18.  She was picked up by a male in a black pick up truck.
