This is CPL. Kevin DAY of the North Cowichan Duncan RCMP. Police and Crimestoppers are asking for your help in solving the following crime.  

On Saturday, July 04th (2009) at approximately 4:20 am, North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP received a call that a female had been sexually assaulted at her residence located in the 5500 block of Jaynes Road, Duncan. An unknown male entered the residence while the occupants of the residence were sleeping. A female occupant confronted the male and a struggle ensued. The male sexually assaulted the victim before he fled the residence. The victim was transported to hospital where she was treated for her injuries and later released. The suspect is described as a dark olive skinned male in his mid to late 20's, approximately six feet tall with spiked hair. The male had a muscular build and clean shaven face. Police are continuing to investigate.
