This is Cpl. Kevin Day of the North Cowichan Duncan RCMP. Police and Crimestoppers are asking for your help in solving the following crime. On Monday, November 9th at approximately 2:00 pm, a male entered a local downtown business with a letterhead document stating his company called “Tek Systems” was to complete a hardware system upgrade on their computer. The male took approximately 5 minutes to complete what staff believed was a system upgrade and upon leaving told staff to wait 5 minutes prior to conducting a re-boot of the computer. Once staff attempted a re-boot they realized the male had stolen the hard drive. The male is described as caucasion, 26-27 years of age, clean shaven with short spiked blond hair. He was wearing blue coveralls and was approximately 5'9" inches tall with a medium build. He had a slightly bruised right eye and was carrying a small blue or black tool box. Police are attempting to determine the identity of the individual involved.
