Police and Crimestoppers are asking for your help in solving the following crime. On November 30 approximately 2:00 am the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP were called to the scene of a theft of ATM Machine in Chemainus. Witnesses called police to report that three people in balaclavas were stealing the ATM from Chemainus foods.
The culprits were driving a stolen burgundy 1991 Chevrolet 4 wheel drive pick that had been stolen from the Crofton Ferry Terminal. Police searched the area extensively however were unable to locate the stolen pick. The pick up as well as the ATM were located 6 days later in a wooded area near Chemainus. Police are attempting to determine the identity of the individuals involved in this crime.
