The male approaches the cashier and gives a story such as that he has been given permission from the manager or owner of the business to return the items without a receipt.  The male gives the employee the names of managers and owners and speaks as if he knows them.   On several occasions the male has left a name of Steven SAMPSON with employees of store as well as a false phone number. 

 

The male has targeted stores in Duncan such as Duncan Pets and 49th Parallel as well as some gas stations.  Police believe the male is responsible for similar frauds in other Island Communities as well.

 

The male is described as Caucasion, between 40 and 50 years of age, 190 lbs, clean shaven, and graying hair.  He at times wears a touque.  The male possibly drives a black Chevrolet SUV or old Black Minivan.
