This is CST. Ed POWER of the North Cowichan Duncan RCMP.  Police and Crimestoppers are asking for your help in solving the following crime. 

During the early morning hours of Saturday June 6th (2009) there were five known incidents of theft in the down town Chemainus area.  Culprit(s) stole several planter baskets, shrubs and plants from different businesses including  the Dancing Bean Coffee shop and broke the wooden bridge in front of the Chemainus Theatre.  At 3:25 am police received information that some of the plants were seen being put into a blue older Toyota station wagon with possibly two males associated to the vehicle. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.   Police are continuing to investigate.
